Centre Wellington council will be looking back into the decision to install bike lanes in Fergus later this month.
Council has been looking into having bike lanes on St David Street North.
A resident started a petition when council decided in June to have separated bike lanes installed. At least 1000 signatures were gained from people opposed to the idea of separate lanes.
Ian O’Shaughnessy who started the petition asked council to reconsider their decision saying there are other roads which could be better options.
Council ultimately voted to reconsider on their September 20th meeting in a narrow 4-3 vote.
