Centre Wellington is now looking into the health and safety of residents for specific township park use for tobogganing.
This comes after a concern was raised by township staff on the issue as tobogganing has not been approved for use on township property.
Mayor Shaun Watters says the safety of the community is always their top priority and while they understand tobogganing is a beloved activity, the decision to have No Tobogganing signs was made to ensure the well being of everyone using the hill.
Staff and insurance providers will be doing a full assessment of the hills and determine the necessary next steps.
