Following in the footsteps of many other local restaurants across multiple communities Castings Public House in Wingham is doing a Pay it Forward initiative to support those in need with a free meal.
Customers can visit Castings and order another meal which can then be kept at the restaurant and those in need who need a meal can visit and enjoy it at no cost to them.
Danielle Sutton, owner of Castings says with the rising cost of living, its important to support everyone who may not even have the budget to treat themselves or their family every once and a while.
“You know with the rising costs of food, everyday people who have jobs and are still trying to pay their bills but they may not have the funds to have a little bit of luxury to dine out and that’s where I’m looking at it. We still want people to feel like they can come out and enjoy an evening not at home and treat their children or just themselves.” Sutton.
Multiple restaurants across the region have adopted a pay it forward program including in Stratford, giving patrons the chance to help those in need with a free meal.
