Lucknow’s Caroline Cox is up for some hardware with the 2022 Premier Awards.
The annual awards shine a light on important social and economic contributions made by Ontario College graduates.
Colleges nominate their alumni under various categories such as Business, Community Services, Creative Arts and Design as well as Apprenticeship.
Cox, a graduate from F.E Madill Secondary and Fleming College alumni is the founder of Copper Quartz Media.
The company has contributed over $750,000 to the Northwest Territories economy by bringing on local and Indigenous crew members to their projects.
Her first feature length film “Food for the Rest of Us” was an official selection at the DOXA Documentary Film Festival, American Indian Film Festival and has seen world wide educational distribution with Collective Eye Films.
