NWHC operates the hospitals in Mount Forest and Palmerston.
The contract began in January to help fight an outbreak at the Caressant Care Arthur Nursing home that started on December 26th of last year.
It was declared over by Public Health on March 2nd.
The changes at the facility since the time of the Hospital operator stepping in included increased housekeeping hours and staff, increased hand sanitizer and glove stations through the facility and dust cleaning and the replacement of air handling units and air filters.
In addition all 4 person basic rooms have been reduced to 2 residences as per Ministry of Health directives.
