Trips that usually took snowbirds to Florida for vacation properties and timeshares are now being used to head across the border to get vaccinated.
They are even chartering private planes in some cases to keep their exposure on the trip to a minimum.
Snowbirds are making this decision due to the seemingly slow roll out that is occurring of the Canadian vaccine supply and the news that Florida had adjusted it’s vaccination plan to include non-citizen seniors over the age of 65 in their first phase.
Other states such as Arizona have confirmed a similar loophole for snowbirds to be vaccinated early.
