Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Melanie Joly and Minister of National Defence, Anita Anand have announced $25 million worth of non-lethal equipment will be given to Ukraine in support.
This includes helmets, body armour, gas masks and night vision gear.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed over social media, Canada would be sending military supplies to Ukraine.
Canadian forces are expected to accompany the equipment but combat missions are not planned for Canada or any NATO allies at this time.
