Canada Safety Council Says 3 Children Die Per Year in Hot Cars

The Canada Safety Council says around 3 children die in the country every year after being left in hot cars.

The council is speaking out again following the death of a 23 month old boy from Bancroft who left in his moms car as she was teaching high school.

The boys mother had meant to drop off him at daycare in the morning but left him in the car as she went to work, the boy was found just before 3pm.

The safety council says putting something such as office keys or a work bag in the backseat to prevent tragic deaths of leaving a child in a hot car.
