Caitlyn Cheyne, a Recreation Therapist at Wellington Terrace has been recognized with an award in Therapeutic Recreation from Therapeutic Recreation Ontario.
The award recognizes members who elevate the practice of therapeutic recreation through innovation in research and practice. Caitlyn has served a full time recreation therapist for 11 of her 14 years in the county.
One of her most recent initiatives, Working Wellington is designed to rekindle purpose, responsibility and community contribution for residents living in long term care who wish to volunteer at events and organizations.
The County is congratulating Caitlyn as well as thanking her for her leadership, innovation and lasting impact on residents and community.
