As Ontario Legislature is now back in session, MPP Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound Bill Walker has been named as the Deputy Speaker of the House.
Walker also takes on the role of the Chair of the Committee of the Whole House.
Walker takes over the role of Deputy Speaker from MPP of Chatham-Kent-Leamington Rick Nicholls who was removed from the role and removed from the PC Caucus in August for choosing to not get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Walker joins NDP MPPs Lisa Gretzky, Jennifer French and Percy Hatfield as Deputy Speakers.
