There’s another body of water has been seen to have blue-green algae by the Grand River Conservation Authority.
The presence of the algae bloom has been observed at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area.
Visitors to the area are asked to keep children and pets away from the algae, never eat fish from the lake and don’t use water for drinking or any other purpose.
Beaches at the Belwood Lake Conservation Area and Conestogo Lake remain closed.
The GRCA says historically these algae blooms have occurred at Belwood, Conestogo, Guelph Lake and Woolwich reservoirs.
