Avon River Watershed Given D Grade

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority has given the Avon River watershed a D grading in their watershed report card list.

The conservation authority graded the Avon River watershed for both surface water quality and forest conditions.

As far as surface water quality the conservation authority says the watershed remained fairly steady since the last report card with samples taken at a monitoring station on Perth Line 32.

The UTRCA hopes for a C grade for water quality by 2037.

Forest conditions improve slightly since the last report card for the watershed where it was also a D grade in 2017 noting some change is due to improved mapping methods.
