The cost for renovations at the Arthur & Area Community Centre is turning out to be more than double its original budget.
Planning to be discussed at a future meeting, a staff report shows they’ll be looking for approval of an extra $332,000 in the 2025 budget for the upper hall renovations at the community centre.
Tender bids received were found to be higher than the $389,000 council had allocated to the project as part of the 2024 capital program.
Work is expected to be finished at the community centre by February 1st.
