Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is reporting a high volume of vaccine appointments since booster eligibility has ramped up in the province.
Since Monday when those 18 and up were able to book a booster shot, around 24,000 appointments have been booked through the public health portal.
This number is not for all booster shots booked through other portals such as primary caregivers, hospitals or pharmacies offering a dose.
The high volume of recent traffic on the site has caused some issues for residents trying to book an appointment but public health says they continue to work through the issues and still encourage those to book an appointment through public health.
