A group of AMDSB students have been keeping busy over the summer who have been taking part in the x-Labs Biomedical Sciences Program at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.
x-Labs is a unique outreach initiative to bring high school students from AMDSB and TVDSB with university researchers and laboratories fostering mentor ship, academic exploration and exposure to cutting edge technologies.
This year saw 21 students with 11 from AMDSB taking part in the program.
Students tackled advanced research topics such as Auditory Biophysics, Genotyping PCR, Cell Biology and Biochemistry.
