The Avon Maitland District School Board is raising more awareness around regular school attendance with the launch of the I AM Here campaign.
As weather improves and summer approaches the school board says its important for all to help students stay motivated and make regular attendance a priority.
The board says just missing 10 per cent or 2 days a month of school has a notable impact on academic success.
The campaign has a focus for students, school staff, parents and the community.
Ed Havenga, System Principal says the campaign not only raises awareness about attendance but also provides information and resources for students and families who might need extra support.
