The Avon Maitland District School Board is encouraging locals to take a run at becoming a school board trustee as part of the municipal election.
Taking place October 26th, the trustees are voted in similar to that of municipal councilors.
Director of Education Graham Shantz says trustees play a vital role in overseeing the focus of the education system related to the Strategic Plan.
There are nine trustees elected across the board including in North Perth, Perth East and two in Stratford.
