The Alzheimer Society of Perth County and Huron County have joined together and as of April 1st have become one, now the Alzheimer Society of Huron-Perth.
The group will be holding their Walk for Alzheimer’s on May 28th to take place with various walks with either in groups or hybrid ways for those who aren’t comfortable walking in larger groups.
This years theme takes on the name the 3047 Challenge “Walk Your Way.”
The number comes from the 3047 people in Huron and Perth County living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia’s as people are encouraged to take 3047 steps.
Walk locations for the event include Clinton, Listowel, Goderich, Stratford and Wingham.
