Affordable Housing Units Coming to Exeter

20 affordable housing units are coming to Exeter.

A federal and provincial investment of 6.4 million will help bring the units to South Huron as part of an over $46 million plan through the Canada-Ontario Community Housing Initiative to create 267 affording units across the province.

The apartment unit located at 134 Sanders Street in Exeter, the one bedroom per unit building offer residents their own living space.

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says ensuring residents have comfort in accessing housing is critical to creating a place they can live, grow and thrive while facilitating economic growth and development.

“Everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home”, said The Hon. Steve Clark, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for Ontario. “I am pleased to see the strong relationships we have built with all levels of government, and we will continue to work hard to tackle Ontario’s housing crisis.”
