68,000 Lost Jobs For May

Stats Canada says 68,000 people lost their jobs in May.

Unemployment was at 8.2 percent for the month, a small increase from the 8.1 in April. What see’s part of the drop in jobs is out of the labour force.

Employment in goods-producing sectors dropped for the first time since April of last year. Manufacturing jobs saw a loss of 36,000 jobs in May.
