A 59 year old man is facing charges after assaulting an officer during an arrest.
On October 21st at around 8pm, OPP responded to a report of an altercation at a home on George Street in Arthur.
Police while trying to arrest the suspect was assaulted.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was looked at by paramedics with the officer not sustaining any injuries.
As a result a 59 year old of Arthur has been charged with Assaulting an Officer, Assault, Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Failure to Comply with an Undertaking.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
