According to Ontario’s top doctor, the province must cut its daily new COVID-19 cases to below 1000 before any lockdown measures can be lifted.
Dr. David Williams says the goal is achievable with the last time cases were below 1000 was back in October. Williams said cases have plateaued and may have begun to drop.
Williams added he’d also like to see the number of patients in the ICU drop to 150. There are currently 395 people in the ICU from COVID-19 in Ontario.
