5 Tornados Touched Down in Ontario on Thursday

A research group from Western University in London say as many as 5 tornadoes touched down in Ontario last Thursday when Barrie was swept by their own.

The Northern Tornadoes Project found five had touched down in Southern Ontario that day.

The tornado wind speeds all had reached within the EF-2 range which reaches speeds of 180-220 kilometers per hour.

The tornado in Barrie was considered the most devastating as it tore through a residential neighborhood, sending 10 to hospital.
