A 44 year old has been charged following a case of intimate partner violence.
On December 31st at around 8pm, Wellington County OPP responded with Guelph-Wellington Paramedics to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Fergus.
The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
As a result a 44 year old of Fergus has been charged with Spousal Assault with a Weapon and Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
