$400,000 in Drugs Seized, $230,000 in Stolen Property Recovered

Over $400,000 in drugs has been taken following police disrupted illegal operations in Wellington North.

On August 18th and 21st, Grey Bruce OPP alongside Wellington County OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit along other police forces exeucted a series of search warrants at an address in North Wellington.

Two people were arrested without incident with police seizing just under $400,000 in substances and offence related property worth $6780.

Police also seized stolen property valued at $237,500.

One Wellington North resident was charged with;

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 (four counts)

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 (six counts)

• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

• Possession of firearm / ammunition contrary to prohibition order (three counts)

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of MDMA for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Ketamine for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Codeine for the Purpose of Trafficking

Additionally, another Wellington North Township is charged under the Criminal Code, and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following (19) charges:

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 (four counts)

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 (six counts)

• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of MDMA for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Ketamine for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Codeine for the Purpose of Trafficking

Both were held pending a bail hearing and then remanded into custody.
