The 2nd phase of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout will begin next week.
Pharmacies will be able to start distributing vaccines. Retired General Rick Hillier says the early parts of phase 2 will be to complete vaccinated those high risk individuals.
“Starting next week we will focus very much on completing those long term care homes, high risk retirement homes, the elder care facilities and retirement homes across Ontario.” said Hillier
Hillier added the vaccine plan is for hospitals, family doctors and pharmacies, though public health units will be doing their own plan to each region.
