The Ontario Plowmen’s Association announced recently that they will be moving forward with plans for the 2020/21 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in Kawartha Lakes. The event is scheduled October 13th to 16th.
The event will honour and respect the health regulations caused by Covid-19 and organizers will be simultaneously planning both the traditional format and one re-envisioned if necessary.
The traditional format includes such things as the BMO Plowing Competition, Hydro One Education Area and the Queen of the Furrow Competition presented by Ontario Mutuals. They may look a bit different at this years event but will still be as exciting and memorable to visitors.
They are partnering with the local Lindsay Agricultural Society to present the “Merry and Bright Festival”.
