On October 31st at around 7pm, Wellington County OPP responded to a collision at the intersection of Wellington Road 19 and Second Line, east of Fergus.
Initial reports indicated a motor assisted bicycle and SUV had collided and the bike rider was seriously injured.
A 15 year old male was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries but pronounced deceased.
The Office of the Chief Coroner was notified. The intersection had remained closed well into the night while investigation was underway to determine the cause of collision.
