Officials with Family Counseling and Support Service for Guelph-Wellington have received a recent donation to help provide lifesaving services for rural Wellington County youth who identify as LGBTQ+.
100 Women Who Care Rural Wellington has donated $10,000 to fund the development of a pilot program with the Upper Grand District School Board and the Youth Hub in Fergus which is expected to start in the fall.
Officials say there isn’t any funded therapy for LGBTQ+ youths and there is very little available services in the area.
