Perth Wellington MPP Matthew Rae alongside Lambton-Kent Middlesex MPP Steve Pinsonneault have announced $1.335,810 in funding supporting the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors.
The funding will support the effort to train the next generation of Municipal Equipment Operators.
Rae stating in a release this will ensure municipalities have the staff needed to keep public infrastructure safe and operational.
The funding is being provided through the Skills Development Fund with the training stream open for a wide range of applicants including employers, labour unions, hospitals and municipalities.
